2.1 Development guide - JobSubmit example

I am trying to use the C# JobSubmit example in the 2.1 development guide against the WSDL here:

The code won't compile because of a "cannot resolve symbol" error on the first line:

com.premiereconnect.premconn.XOA XOA = new com.premiereconnect.premconn.XOA();

Suggestions? Is there an updated version of this sample code?

Letterhead for faxes

Hello,

In Premiere Portal, when I create a new fax job, I can click on the "Yes" radio button for "Add Letterhead". I then can click the "SELECT" button and get a pop-up that shows all the Letterheads that are available in my account.

Is there a API call that gives me the list of Letterheads?

Hello,

I was just trying a sample post using the EnhancedEmailOptions.

We got the security credentials from our Account rep.

However I am getting the following error:

Help me.I can't understand this error when i perform a JobSubmit request with files stored in CFS.

The same request worked fine last week.

I am writing this note to comment on the solution I have found to some problems encountered during the development of an application written in C ++ using the LGPL library EasySoap (accessible at: http://easysoap.sourceforge.net/).

The problem I encountered was the following: When EasySoap generates the SOAP messages that are sent to the PGiConnect WebService, the format in which it generates the messages is not exactly the format required for the WebService.

There are two problems:

1- When EasySoap generates the messages SOAP, it always specifies parameters type:

Example: <m:Phone s:type = "y:string"> 123456789 </m:Phone>

However, this information is not correctly processed by the PGiConnect WebService, and, consequently, it produces errors. A possible solution to this problem might be - when the SOAP message is generated by EasySoap – assigning the values as follows:

Example:

    SOAPParameter Phone;
    Phone.SetName("Phone",urlNs);
    //Phone <<"123456789"; Consequently, EasySoap will write the parameter type.
    //In order for EasySoap not to write the type, we can assign the values as indicated in the bottom line:
    SOAPTypeTraits<const char *>::Serialize(Phone, "123456789");

2- When EasySoap generates the "Envelope" of the SOAP messages, it includes the following information: "E: encodingStyle =" http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ ", which is not correctly processed by the PGiConnect WebService.

A solution to this problem might be to rewrite the EasySoap function that generates the SOAP message envelope, eliminating the instruction of who writes this information.

Hi,

I'm just getting started with PremiereConnect.

I have referenced some of the information on your web-site (http://premiere.na3.acrobat.com/video_c_authenicate/) and created a simple program to check authentication.

The Authenticate request returns AuthenticateResult.Status.StatusCode of 2909 (i.e. Authentication failed).

I used the same credentials with which I log into PGiConnect.

Am I using the correct credentials or does my account need to be given specific privileges?

I am logged in to PGiConnect and trying to access the below document but I am getting an error suggesting that I am either not logged in or do not have sufficient priveledges to view it. Can this be corrected?

generating java client code with wsimport fails "duplicate parameter names parameter."

hi all

It's the first time im working with a webservice and java. I'm trying to generate a java client for the Web Service by executing the following command:

wsimport -keep http://mytesturl.premiereglobal.com/soap/syn?WSDL

The result is a bunch of errors of the following type:

[ERROR] Failed to generate Java signature: duplicate parameter names parameter. Use JAXWS binding customization to rename the wsdl:part "parameter".

- Is it really necessary to use binding customization to work around this problem?

- Do I have to do that manually or are there tools to do that?

- are there other ways to efficenty generate client code for the web service?

Query on Message size limit

Hi,

Typically what is the upper limit of SOAP message size (e.g. for JobSubmit) supported by PG Messaging API?

Also, are there any more specific limitations in terms of the constituents of a request?

E.g. in the case of a JobSubmit Request where CFS-stored files are referenced in the DocumentSet, is there a specific limit on number of files that can be referenced and/or on number of Message elements contained in the SOAP message?

Getting Started / Experiencing difficulty

Hello, we are just getting started using pgiConnect and would like to test sending a simple e-mail. We are using Visual Studio 2k8 and C#.

In our project we created a web reference against http://xoa.pt.premiereglobal.com/soap/sync?WSDL and loaded up the sample code changing the values that we needed (to, from, subject etc).

When JobSubmit is called we receive

{"The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive."}

In the sample code there is this mysterious line:

// First check to see if we need to setup proxy

Set_Server_and_Proxy(PC);

Of course the Set_Server_and_Proxy routine is not included in the sample code, so we don't know exactly what is being examined and set in there...

If we set the .url property on the PC object (XOA) to http://xoaptweb1.xpedite.com/soap/sync the error becomes {"The remote name could not be resolved: 'xoaptweb1.xpedite.com'"}

Is there a c# code sample that shows how to send just a BASIC email (no lists, attachments or multiple recipients)? Perhaps we haven't set something or set it incorrectly...

What is the purpose and function of the Set_Server_and_Proxy function in the code sample?

Basically we are looking for assistance getting this up and running.

BannerFX for Fax jobs

Hello,

When creating a Fax job in the Premiere Portal, a customer has the option to include "BannerFX". This shows as a "Yes/No" radio button along with the "Cover Sheet", "Letterhead" and "Fax Header" "Yes/No" radio buttons.

I didn't find any information abour BannerFX in the help files. Is the banner set by the system administrator? I would appreciate it if you could point me to the documentation or provide additional information.

Volume testing

Hello,

We have built an integration with PGI Fax. It is working great for a small number of fax sends. I would like to do a volume test - basically fax to about 20,000 fax numbers. Is there a way to send the faxes to a blackhole?

I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas to volume test.

Comment option for a hosted document

SE team is working on a Scott Judd created document in the Staff only section. Internal users are reviewing the document and have added comments. For some reason I am not seeing the name of the person that added the comment. It just has a blank followed by the word "says". I looked through discussion points and didn't see this listed.

Checked this in Safari and it looks correct. It may be the version of IE that I see this in. I have version 6.0.
